Welcome to Birth Treasure!!

We are four midwives in Porirua supporting hapū māmā and whānau throughout the pregnancy journey. 
We provide continuity of care with one midwife which means you will have the same midwife throughout your journey with back up support from the others in our team as needed.



Our clinic space is in North City Mall, Level 4 - Suite 412. 
Please note we are not always in clinic due to the nature of our work.

​Funded maternity care. ​
Maternity care in NZ is free for all NZ citizens and permanent residents and for some women on extended visas.  Partners of NZ citizens and permanent residents are also entitled to free maternity care.

Community midwives provide continuity of care throughout the childbirth experience, from preconception to up to 6 weeks after baby is born.

Your midwife is a specialist in the field of normal childbirth and will form a mutual relationship with you to work in partnership with you and your whanau to provide you with information so you can make informed decisions about your birth journey and labour and birth.
Your pregnancy journey may require input and care from the obstetric team due to any complications you may develop.
You will be referred to the appropriate clinic and your care will have input from those specialists to work toward keeping your pregnancy journey safe for you and your baby.
