Visit Schedule

We will see you for appointments on a regular basis and these will increase in frequency throughout your pregnancy.

Antenatal Visits:
8-28 weeks                        Monthly visits
28-36 weeks                      Fortnightly visits
36-40 weeks                      Weekly visits
40+ weeks                         Regular monitoring on a case by case basis

Often if you are low risk and/or you are having  your second or more baby you may not need to see us this often; please make sure you contact us is you are concerned or want to be seen more often and remember it is important to try and keep up to date with the routine bloods, glucose challenge and scans that will enable us to have the information we need to ensure your pregnancy is progressing well.

Postnatal Visits:
Home visit within 24hrs of discharge from Hospital and as needed for the first week. Weekly thereafter until 4-6 weeks
We pride ourselves on flexibility and meeting your needs to ensure you are feeling confident and relaxed in your baby cares at home. We will be happy to introduce other forms of support in the community where needed at your request and with your permission.

Please be aware we may show up at a time that wasn't expected due to being held up at another apt. If you think your midwife may be coming over and you are going out let her know and she will re-organise a day that suits you both.

Sometimes we want to see you when you aren't prepared for us to make sure you are ok
