There are times where we need to call back and talk not have a text conversation.

URGENT calls: If midwife is not reachable please leave your name, number and reason for call if urgent. Please leave the phone free after this so we can respond. URGENT calls for concern are listed below. 

If you do not get a response please txt or call one of the other midwives in the group.

If you have not had a response after this then please phone delivery suite Wellington on (04) 806 0850 to ask if we are there or ask for assistance and advice.

Contact us URGENTLY if you have…

· Excessive vomiting for 24hrs (and you are unable to sip water)

· Abdominal Pain or lower regular back cramps

· Water leaking at any gestational week, or unusual discharge

· Any vaginal bleeding and/or cramping

For late pregnancy:

· Widespread itching on soles of feet and palms of hands - see below

· You feel baby movements are reduced and not normal

· Sudden and widespread swelling on face and hands and feet

· Bad headaches visual problems or breathing problems

Itching 
Itching can be a number of things ranging from your skin reacting to being stretched from baby growing and swelling to severe conditions like cholestasis. www.babycenter.com.au/a552042/obstetric-cholestasis
There us a pregnancy condition called PUPPS which can be itching all over the body with a red rash which usually focuses on your tummy but can be in other areas www.bellybelly.com.au/pregnancy/pupps-rash-during-pregnancy
